Haulier of the Year
July 2010

Knights of Old is proud to announce that it was named one of the four finalists in this year’s Motor Transport Awards for the Haulier of the Year category.

Having won the award in 2006 Knights of Old would have loved to have won the prestigious title for a second time but to have been recognised once more, amongst its peers, was a real achievement.

The awards ceremony took place at The Grosvenor House, London and after dinner and an introduction by Rory Bremner the ceremony began. The 1400 strong audience eagerly awaited results and finally, Abbey Road Tankers went home with the big prize.

Narrowly missing out on winning the main category Knights of Old remains keen to regain the title next year. Ian Beattie, Managing Director, Knights of Old said: “We couldn’t help but feel disappointed at not winning but it is great that we were up there again, for another year, at an event with all the big names from the industry. I hope we will be there again next year and maybe, we’ll have a trophy to bring back!”
