The New Livery
November 2009
Knights of Old Ltd is continuing to evolve from a regional haulier into a nationally recognised brand. With increasing its fleet size and modifying its image Knights of Old hopes to retain its respected position within the local community and increase its profile within the transport industry.
In December the company will have taken delivery of 27 new Schmitz Cargobull trailers, ten tractor units and 12 rigid vehicles which will all contain a Scania Euro 5 engine. Each new vehicle will include the newly modified livery which still features the horse and the instantly recognisable gold writing.
With the difficult economic climate Knights of Old sees investment in technology, increasing capacity and production, and raising the profile of the company as the only way forward. Managing Director Ian Beattie said: “We are all seeing tough times at the moment but now is the ideal opportunity to raise your profile and really show what sets you apart from the next company.
“We have seen an increase in our clients’ demands in terms of how environmentally effective our operation is. We need to move more freight in a more efficient manner and investment in new technology is the only way to do this”. Knights of Old has always focused on a high standard of service and sees innovative thinking as the key to remaining successful. Beattie continues: “The new look to the livery will filter through to all aspects of the company. Over the years we kept the traditional image whilst modernising the design but we hope that this latest change is well received and will continue to raise our profile as a strong player in the transport industry.”
