Strong relations with German Partner

Knights of Old Ltd has successfully joined forces with German logistics provider, M&F Spedition as part of the new express European service which Knights of Old launched in May this year. The partnership with M&F commenced on August 1st 2009 offering scheduled daily departures to Germany from Knights of Old’s Kettering distribution centre.

M&F Spedition, which was established in 1978 is based in Nordhorn, north west Germany allowing the company to offer quick transit times for German domestic distribution. The partnership allows Knights of Old to utilise the success, reliability and efficiency of M&F to add to its own successful operations. In turn, M&F makes use of Knights of Old’s UK, Irish and Global distribution solutions.

With daily departures straight to Nordhorn, any German destination can be reached on a next day service by using M&F’s own fleet. Knights of Old then collect any goods bound for the UK and return to Kettering ready for next day delivery for UK and Ireland.

The service allows us to offer collections and deliveries for anywhere in Germany. The uptake for this service has been strong and we are delighted with the volumes we have seen since the launch.”

M&F Spedition is part of the Huettemann Group which is a large logistics provider with 575 staff and 20 locations with the headquarters in Duisburg. The group’s range of services comprises warehouse and contract logistics, sector-specific solutions, financial services as well as transport and IT management.

Knight s of Old also has partnerships with transport companies in France, Holland, Italy and Belgium allowing the same service to each destination.
