Knights of Old teams up with Northamptonshire Chamber

Northamptonshire Chamber has partnered with Knights of Old, a national transport and distribution company with a depot in Kettering, to deliver a programme of training courses to companies on the Kettering Venture Park estate.
The programme, which started in February, will see Knights of Old host one Chamber training course each month for ten months at its impressive on-site training facility. The courses will cover a range of skills such as Customer Service Excellence, Successful Supervisory Management, Credit Control, Time Management and much more.
Knights of Old employs around 300 members of staff across its Kettering and Hitchin sites and these employees will all have the option to attend the courses. The company has also opened its doors to allow other resident firms on Kettering Venture Park to attend the courses. So far, individuals from two neighbouring companies have accepted this invitation and registered on a Chamber course. Each course will take 12 delegates.
Nick Bithell, Human Resources Manager at Knights of Old, said: “We see training as a vital part of our business for the development of our staff and improvement in the company’s performance. Last year we invested over £400,000 in training and employee development – something which the Northamptonshire Chamber training courses have played a large part in. The diversity of the courses has appealed to our staff and we hope the remaining courses will continue to be a success and benefit Knights of Old.”

The Chamber also offers a range of eLearning courses and a Tailor Made Training service, which helps companies to develop a bespoke training package for several members of staff with the same training need and delivers it at the company.
