Knights of Old Goes Greeen with New Vehicles
December 2010

Knights of Old has once again shown its commitment to the environment by investing in vehicles which reduce the company’s impact on its surroundings. With the purchase of two new Mitsubishi Fuso Canters Knights of Old hopes to reduce its freight miles and improve its fuel consumption.

The vehicles have been chosen for their excellent payload capabilities, minimal fuel consumption and because they have a less imposing presence on the high street.

The two new trucks remain in keeping with Knights of Old’s fleet by carrying the distinctive livery and names which are of Arthurian Legend; Sir Erec and Sir Priamus.

Both trucks will be based at the Kettering depot and will be employed in general distribution duties mainly in urban areas.

Compliance Director, Knights of Old, Peter Hancox says: “We are always conscious of the negative impression that a big truck can give. We need to be in the high streets of Britain and we are confident that the Mitsubishi trucks will promote a softer and more environmentally sympathetic side of our distribution business.“

The vehicles are already on the road and can be seen in the Midlands area.
