Knights of Old Expands with New Site

National transport and distribution company Knights of Old Ltd will be operating out of a new facility from 1st March 2011 in collaboration with an existing major client. The Hitchin site and cross dock facility will allow Knights of Old to develop its services in the Hertfordshire and London areas.

Knights of Old, which has its main depot in Kettering, Northamptonshire has been established for over 100 years and has adapted successfully to provide its clients with a complete distribution solution. With its comprehensive UK, Irish and European operations combined with its warehousing, global forwarding and industrial packing services, Knights of Old sees this expansion as vital in the company’s future development.

Priding itself on its commitment to quality, innovation and high levels of customer service, the company will bring these same high standards to any new or existing customers requiring a service in Hertfordshire and London.

With a workforce of 300 personnel Knights of Old will be employing up to 30 new staff members in the local area. Ian Beattie, Managing Director, Knights of Old said: “This is a great opportunity for us and we are focused on expanding our business in this area. With the recruitment of 30 plus local people we hope to develop links with the local community.”
