Sawyer/Casemaker/Packer

Hours: 17.00pm - 01.00am

JOB PURPOSE:

To effectively manufacture crates, cases, pallets and to pack goods for export.

TASKS:

• To work within the packing department team within the guidelines laid down by the Company with    special regard to safety;

• Utilise timber cross-cut, plywood, band saws and nail guns;

• Manufacture plywood/rough sawn cases for export;

• Construct wooden base / four way / two way pallets;

SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

• Jobholder will be numerate;

• Certified to operate a fork lift (as applicable);

• Capable of understanding the aspects of case making/packing etc. as instructed by Packing Foreman;

• Competent in the safe use of all machinery in the operation;

• Experience/ability in export packing or machinery using shrink wrapping or foil bagging techniques would be beneficial
