Success at Knight of Old and TruckEast Fun Day 2011
This Summer, Knightsof Old was proud to host its Family Fun Day in partnership with the company's Scania dealer, TruckEast. Over 700 visitors attended the event, which took place at Bruntingthorpe Airfield, and they all enjoyed a number of activities that were on offer.
The main attraction was getting behind the wheel of a truck -a real highlight for anyone who had a go!

Other activities included: being a passenger in a fire engine, receiving a high speed passenger ride in an Ariel Atom, tackling the 4X4 course and racing in the twin engine Go-Karts.

A fair ground, face painters, stilt walkers, balloon artists and bouncy castles were at the venue which kept the little ones entertained and in the food marquee there was a jazz band playing alongside the fantastic raffle. Prizes, which were donated by suppliers and clients included; a brand new laptop, mountain bike, a set of Michelin tyres, flying lessons, spa treatments, British Airways flights, Manchester United tickets - to name a few! The raffle was in aid of SENSE—the deaf blind charity. All tickets were sold for £5 a strip which when added to generous donations, the total amount raised reached over £2,500!

Ian Beattie said: “A fantastic day was had by all. We couldn't have asked for better weather and all the activities on offer allowed us to entertain both staff and clients. I’d like to thank everyone who helped with the event, including the drivers, staff who ran an activity point and those involved with the food. It was a tremendous success and would not have happed without you! Here’s to the next one!”
